Rutland
Long
Trail
Festival
2008 Rutland Hard-Core
In keeping with a time honored
tradition in the hiking community of giving back to the
trails that we enjoy, the Rutland Long Trail Festival is
sponsoring a Trail maintenance work day on Sunday August
17, 2008, and Monday August 18,2008. Rutland Hard-Core,
named after the long standing Damascus Hard-Core, started
by Bob Peoples of Kincora Hostel of Hampton Tenn..
This year’s project is rehabilitation of the Old Job
Shelter and removal of an unsafe bridge in the Big Branch
Wilderness. No experience necessary, just a willingness to
lend a hand. For planning purposes we would like to get an
idea of how many folks want to join us on the crew, if you
wish to join us on this fun experience please let us know
by signing up in the vendors Pavilion. Crew members should
have long pants and sturdy footwear.
