Rutland Long Trail Festival 08 has come and gone and we would like to thank all the people who made this year’s festival fabulous. Thank you to all who pitched in and thank you to all who came!
With this event only in its second year, it is clear the possibilities for this Rutland festival are much bigger and better than any of us could have imagined. The music was superb. The open mic contest introduced us to new musicians we want to watch as rising stars. The lawn games and kite flying that took place this beautiful summer weekend opened up a whole new realm of ideas for activities there for the future. Many families came intent on heading to the children's area so the word is starting to get out about what the festival is all about- playing out of doors and having a fun time in the process.
We need your help in marketing this festival. We need all interested parties to please spread the good news about the Rutland Long Trail Festival any way you can.
We welcome you to join us and come on board.
Even as volunteers with all we had to do, being in each other’s company while we worked hard, made it totally enjoyable.
