Rutland Long Trail Festival
About Us

About Us
The festival’s mission, “A celebratory gathering to inspire individuals to participate in the outdoors” has expanded its scope to include all outdoor activities, with more exhibitors and non-profit activity getting involved.
The Rutland Recreation and Parks Department (RRPD) provides the guidance and expertise for the Rutland Long Trail Festival by assisting a core group of volunteer organizers who plan the event, raise funds, and put on the festival with no monetary funding contributed by the City of Rutland. The dynamic leadership of both the Rutland Recreation and Parks Department (RRPD), and the Vermont Agricultural Society which owns the fairgrounds, has given a solid foundation to the future success of this festival. As a city sponsored event hosted by the Rutland Recreation and Parks Department (RRPD), any contributions made to the festival are tax deductible. To raise funds, the festival finance committee seeks funding partners and sponsors. With hard work by our increasing number of volunteers, festival organizers plan to grow this festival into a very successful yearly event for Rutland City well into the future.
